About the role
As the Manufacturing QA Manager at RBR, you’ll lead developing and maintaining RBR’s Quality Management System, as well as leading the manufacturing engineering team to ensure process optimization for both legacy products as well as new product introductions. You will drive continuous improvement across RBR, ensuring our products and services meet established quality standards, ultimately ensuring the success of our customers.
What you’ll do
- Develop and oversee RBR’s Quality Management System
- Introduce new products from R&D into production, optimizing for manufacturability, scalability, and efficiency
- Champion continuous improvement and quality initiatives across RBR
- Collaborate with Supply Chain Management (SCM) to monitor supplier performance, qualify new sources, and support corrective actions
- Partner with production, SCM, R&D, and service teams to establish KPIs, assess performance, and drive improvements
- Develop and implement standards for inspection and testing of components and assemblies
- Develop and implement procedures for the disposition of defective material via material review board (MRB)
- Create training material and train various teams on quality assurance activities
- Support sales and service teams with quality-related customer interactions
- Ensure the accuracy and availability of quality-related data
Job requirements
What you bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field
- 5+ years of progressive technical experience in a high-tech manufacturing environment
- Experience leading and managing technical teams
- Strong understanding of ISO 9001 principles
- Experience introducing new products from R&D into manufacturing, assessing overall manufacturability and providing feedback to R&D
- Hands-on experience with continuous improvement methodologies (e.g., Six Sigma, Lean)
- Proficiency in writing QA and QC policies and procedure
- Experience with non-conformance reports (NCRs) and corrective/preventive actions (CAPA) for internal and vendor use
- Familiarity with PCB/PCBA design (DFM), manufacturing standards (e.g., IPC-A-610), and board-level testing
- Strong interpersonal and collaborative skills
- Ability to prioritize and manage time effectively in a fast-paced setting
Nice to haves
- Experience using Jira, Confluence, and Business Central (ERP)
- Experience with ISO 17025
- In-depth understanding of mechanical properties of various materials, including titanium, various polymers, and glass-reinforced resins
- IPC-A-610 (or equivalent) certification
- Six Sigma certification
