About the role

We are seeking a highly motivated, entrepreneurial, and detail-oriented Finance Director, who will spearhead the financial strategy and operations of our company, reporting to the President and collaborating closely with the other leadership team members to drive growth. This role offers a unique opportunity to make a significant impact on our business trajectory, leveraging your expertise in global financial management, technology integration, and strategic leadership.


What you'll do

  • Develop and execute financial strategies to support business growth and operational efficiency
  • Drive financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and analysis to optimize resource allocation and performance
  • Implement and monitor robust financial controls, processes and technology solutions to ensure compliance, mitigate risks and enhance financial reporting and analysis
  • Lead financial modeling and scenario analysis to support strategic decision-making
  • Oversee treasury management, including cash flow optimization and capital allocation
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive initiatives that support revenue growth and cost optimization
  • Manage international financial operations, including foreign exchange, tax compliance, and regulatory requirements
  • Oversee financial aspects of supply chain management, including cost analysis, inventory control, and procurement
  • Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting across multiple entities and jurisdictions

Job requirements

What you bring

  • Strong track record of success as a Finance Director, Head of Finance or other senior financial leadership role within a growing small to medium-sized business (100-200 staff, $30-$60M revenue)
  • Strong understanding of financial management, accounting principles, and corporate finance, with a focus on hardware product lifecycles and its financial considerations
  • Experience with international financial operations and multi-currency accounting and consolidations
  • Demonstrated success in driving business scalability and process improvement initiatives
  • Experience with technology integration, including hardware-focused ERP systems (ideally Microsoft Dynamics365 Business Central) and financial analytics tools
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate financial data into actionable insights
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to anticipate market trends and capitalize on emerging opportunities
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills


Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field; MBA or CPA preferred
  • Minimum 8 years of progressive experience in financial management, with at least 3 years in a Finance Director or equivalent role
  • Proven track record of leading finance teams and financial transformation in scaling businesses, ideally with international operations
  • Proficiency in complex financial software ERP systems, ideally in hardware-focused businesses
  • Strong business acumen and ability to thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment
